Most of Mykolaipillya has effectively been taken by Russian army (fighting is still ongoing on the northern outskirts). In conjunction with the Raiske and Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka axes, Ukrainian troops north of Rusyn Yar are at risk of being cut off from supplies. However, a Ukrainian withdrawal seems unlikely due to the small number of Russian troops in this area (concentrated on the other two fronts mentioned), so the most likely scenario is the creation of a pocket with isolated Ukrainian troops (supplied by drones), who will attempt to delay the Russian advance towards Druzhkivka, a city where fighting could begin this autumn. 🇷🇺🇺🇦

In Nikolaevka, Russian army continued to infiltrate the town from the north, where some troops managed to entrench themselves at the Sloviansk Thermal Power Plant and in the houses around the square where Myru Street and Kotsiubynskoho Street meet (48°51'53.0"N 37°45'53.2"E) – the main Ukrainian escape and supply route in the town. Meanwhile, the centre of Nikolaevka has been under heavy Russian shelling since mid-May, which has caused significant damage to many of the high-rise buildings, as forces await the start of assault operations. 🇷🇺🇺🇦

In Dobropillya, Russian army continues to infiltrate and build up troops in the outermost streets of the town, so we may see an increase in their control of the eastern part in the coming days. However, it is premature to suggest that the battle will unfold rapidly until Russian forces have secured control of a significant section of the T-05-14 road, from which they can launch an attack on neighbouring Bilozerske. It is then that we might witness a breakthrough in Dobropillya, possibly from the second half of September onwards if the pace of advances on this front is maintained.

In fact, the only significant recent gain made by Ukrainian army in the last few days is the locality of Oleksandrohad, from which Russian forces have been completely driven out. For the time being, Russian forces are still struggling to contain Ukrainian infiltrations towards Komar. Indeed, through the ‘death zone’ in Piddubne and Myrne, Ukrainian troops have reached Perebudova, considered a suburb of Komar, so it is possible that in the coming weeks we may hear of the outbreak of fighting in that town for the first time since June 2025. Meanwhile, Russian army is carrying out operations to eliminate Ukrainian infiltrations in Yalta, Zaporizhzhya, Zirka and Voskresenka.
