🇷🇺💥🇺🇦 Footage of Russian ballistic missile strike on Kiev cardboard and paper mill Objective control footage shows a Russian ballistic missile hitting the Kiev Cardboard and Paper Mill on the night of 6 to 7 October. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the grounds of the mill were being used to store components for FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, produced by the Ukrainian company Fire Point. 🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 81 US aircraft lost or damaged in the war on Iran The US Congress's own research service has nearly doubled its count of American aircraft lost or damaged since Washington and Israel attacked Iran on 28 February: from 42 in May to 81 as of 5 October. The Pentagon has never published a full accounting. The Congressional Research Service pieced this one together from news reports, Central Command statements and a Pentagon inspector general report. The count includes damaged aircraft, some of which have allegedly returned to service. It is also, by the report's own admission, incomplete due to classification. The Congressional Budget Office puts the cost of the war at $38 billion through 1 August. This against a country Washington claimed had no air defenses left. 🔴 @DDGeopolitics

🇷🇺🇲🇱 Russian Africa Corps and Malian army in Kidal Servicemen of Russia's Africa Corps and the Malian Armed Forces are now in Kidal, in northern Mali. The city was taken in a joint operation by the Africa Corps, the Malian army, and allied Tuareg fighters from the Imghad Tuareg Self-Defense Group and the Movement for the Salvation of Azawad. The militants, meanwhile, put out an amusing statement of their own. According to them, they left Kidal voluntarily. The reason? Their positions in and around the city were being regularly hit by Russian and Malian strikes, so out of deep concern for the safety of local residents, they decided to leave. The ultra-Orthodox community has been staging mass road blockades since Israel's Supreme Court ruled in 2024 that their decades-old exemption from military service had no legal basis. 🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 Record $1.33 million a day to send a tanker through Hormuz The cost of chartering an oil tanker for a passage through the Strait of Hormuz has hit the highest level in history, $1.33 million per day, the Financial Times reports. Shipowners are now paying crews like soldiers of fortune to make the run past Iran: ➡️Tanker captains are being offered $100,000 a month, plus bonuses of up to $50,000 for each passage ➡️Ordinary sailors are being offered four to six times their usual pay ➡️Normally, captains working the southern Red Sea and the Gulf of Oman earn about $15,000 a month, and crew members from $1,500 One industry representative said seafarers are now "almost viewed as combat mercenaries" because of the risks involved. 🔴 @DDGeopolitics

🇹🇷🇾🇪 Turkey: we will not send troops to fight Ansar Allah Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan says Ankara will not deploy its army against Yemen, despite its new defense pact with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. "Turkey will not send troops to another country and carry out an attack there," Fidan said. "Once a country that is a party to the agreement is attacked, you stand by it for its defense. This is not an attack agreement." It makes sense. Why risk Turkish soldiers when Ankara's Syrian head-choppers are being lined up for the job? As we reported yesterday, Saudi Arabia and Syria are discussing the deployment of 10,000 to 20,000 fighters to Yemen, according to Axios. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, a.k.a. Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, is said to be seriously considering it, and Washington does not object. It is the same model Ankara used in Syria, Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh: Turkish flags stay clean while Syrian terrorists do the dirty work.
